Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement (EPIMS-RIV-39611-R6), pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 1602, the Project Applicant, Eastern Municipal Water District. The Project will consist of impacts from the grading and fill of one unnamed tributary that connects to Canyon Lake for the construction of a 1.63-million-gallon (mg) potable water tank, detention basin, and components that would connect to the existing adjacent water facilities infrastructure. The existing 0.03 acre of rip rap and culvert (comprised of 0.01 acre and 33 linear feet of rip/rap at culvert outfalls and 0.02 acre and 198 linear feet of culvert) will be replaced with the construction of 240 linear feet of culvert that will convey the flows from offsite to the north into, and out of, the basin to be constructed as part of the Project design. The Project will permanently impact 0.07 acres of streambed, bank, and channel with 0.02 acres of direct replacement of existing culverts and riprap. The Project will compensate for the remaining permanent impacts of 0.05-acres of stream bed, bank, and channel, through the acquisition of no less than 0.10 acres of Reestablishment/rehabilitation credits through Riverpark Mitigation Bank, or other CDFW- approved mitigation bank within Western Riverside County.
