Document Description
The City of Farmersville’s Active Transportation Safety Enhancement plan identifies the need to upgrade the approximately 2,000 ft of city alley corridor in order to improve access and safety for non-motorized transportation within the community. The proposed alley improvements include aggregate base and asphalt concrete paving, accessible alley approaches, drainage infrastructure, wayfinding and bicycle route signage, and pavement markings.

Reasons for Exemption
The project includes adding aggregate base and asphalt concrete paving, accessible alley approaches, drainage infrastructure, wayfinding and bicycle route signage, and pavement markings. The project is not growth inducing nor does it require additional right of way. These improvements will enhance safety for non-motorized transportation and pedestrians. Implementing best management practices and conditions of approval, the project will not have significant impacts to resources, as defined under CEQA.
