The district proposes changes to the existing Integrated Vector Management Program (IVMP) including the use of malathlon in instances of high risk for virus transmission, modifications to aerial treatment by helicopter, the use and application of Bti (larvicide) for mosquito larvae, use of aerial drone applications in the Salton Sea shoreline area as potential replacements for ATV/UTV treatments and helicopter treatments, and the use of sterile mosquitoes as biological control.
