General Plan description: Agriculture, Watershed and Open Space (AWOS); Zoning: Agricultural Watershed (AW). The land is currently vacant with a road bisecting it.
Document Description
The proposed project involves i) the clearing of oak woodland (consisting predominantly of coast live oak with scattered California bay, big leaf maple and buckeye) and non-native grassland; and ii) earthmoving and the installation and maintenance of erosion control measures on slopes between 13-26% in connection with the development of 5.1 gross acres (3.3 net acres) of new vineyard with an additional temporary staging area of approximately 0.4-acre on the approximate 10.1-acre parcel. ISMND identified potentially significant impacts to special-status and migratory birds, wildlife movement, and consistency with Napa County oak woodland preservation regulations. Mitigation measures identified would reduce potentially significant impacts to less than significant.
