Document Description
The EIR for the Comprehensive Advanced Planning Initiative, which includes the Bollinger Canyon Rezoning, was certified on January 25, 2023. On April 26, 2023, the Town Council adopted General Plan amendments redesignating the Bollinger Canyon area and introduced an ordinance amending the zoning for the Bollinger Canyon area, which is approximately 423 acres located along Moraga’s eastern boundary with unincorporated County of Alameda. Among other things, the amendments apply new designations for three distinct portions of Bollinger Canyon: (1) Open Space (General Plan)/Non-MOSO Open Space(Zoning) for 136 acres; (2) Residential – 1 Dwelling Unit per Acre (General Plan/Zoning) for 17 acres; and (3) Rural Residential – 1 Dwelling Unit per 5 Acres (General Plan/Zoning) for the remaining 270 acres. Total new housing potential is 51 units.
