Document Description
Create fuel management zones 20 (7.9 acres) and 21 (12.5 acres) in South Laguna. Hand crews establish 100-foot-wide zones of reduced vegetation to protect residential properties, increase evacuation time for residents, and provide better access for firefighters to protect structures. To minimize erosion, majority of perennial root systems to remain, and post-treatment erosion control measures (e.g., scattered cut brush clippings, jute netting, straw bales, etc.) applied.
