Document Description
The proposed project involves the replacement and modernization of equipment and infrastructure at the existing Water Quality Resource and Recovery Plant (WQRRP), as well as, installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) generation facilities at several WCW facilities, including the WQRRP, Atlas Pump Station, WCW Headquarters (PV facilities and electric vehicle charging stations), Lakeside Pump Station, and Tara Hills Pump Station. The purpose of the proposed project is to reduce energy consumption and improve operational efficiency.

The project area consists of several WCW facilities located throughout Contra Costa County, California. Project activities would primarily occur at the existing Water Quality Resource and Recovery Plant (WQRRP) site located at 2377 Garden Tract Road in the City of Richmond. The project area also includes portions of several other existing WCW sites: Atlas Pump Station (1600 Atlas Road, Richmond), WCW Headquarters (2910 Hilltop Drive, Richmond), the Lakeside Pump Station at Hilltop Lake Park (3223 Blume Drive, Richmond), and Tara Hills Pump Station (2250 Tara Hills Drive, San Pablo).
