Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Incidental Take Permit No. 2081-2023-014-02, pursuant to section 2081 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Nevada County Department of Public Works. The Project includes the replacement of an existing bridge with a new bridge with a broadened curve radius and wider lanes on a new roadway alignment. Project activities include grubbing and grading of the new roadway alignment, temporary dewatering of portions of Bear River, falsework and temporary trestles along the existing and new bridges, large scale concrete molds, road construction, the removal of trees, rocks, boulders, and other woody debris, as well as 100 square feet of rock slope protection will be permanently placed within the foothill riparian habitat. Construction will primarily occur over the summer and winter and take approximately 14 months to complete.
