Document Description
Th Propsed Project included four ordinances to amend the Los Angeles Muicipal Code: the City Witywide Housing Incentive Program Ordince, the Citywide Adaptive Reuse Ordinance, the Housing Element Site and Minimum Density Ordinance, and the Resident Protectiions Ordinance. These ordinances are prposed as part of the Los Angeles Housing Element Rezoning Program. The City 2021-2029 Housing Element evaluated sites with the potential to be developed with housing during the applicable planning period to meet the City's Regional Housing Needs Assessment allocation and as a result, identified a need for a Housing Element Rezoning Program encompasses mulitple, targeted citywide code amendments including those that comprised the Proposed Project. The Proposed Project will apply to the entire geopgraphic area located generally susrrounded by the San Gabriel Mountains to the north, urban development and the Verdugo Mountians, San Rafael Hills, and San Gabriel Valley to the east, and urban development and the Santa Susana Mountains, Santa Monica Mountains, and Pacific Ocean to the west and south. The City is higly urbanized and contains a variety of residential civic, institutional, commercial, indstrial, and recreational/open spaces uses within the communities that comprise the City of Los Angeles.
The Proposed Project also includes two resolutions: a resolution to amend the Affordable Housing Incentive Guidelines and approve the proposed Fair Housing Requirements for Affordale Housing; and a resolution to establish the list of Lower Income Rezoning Housing Elements Sites.
