Document Description
The project consists of replacement of light bulbs and retrofit of lighting fixtures and lamps from existing high pressure sodium, metal halide, halogen, compact fluorescent (CFL), fluorescent linear tubes and incandescent to high-performance low-energy Light Emitting Diode (LED) lighting. Lighting would be upgraded in the following District-owned locations: District office--4 exterior and 69 interior fixtures; San Joaquin Elementary--70 exterior and 733 interior fixtures; Cantua Elementary--1 exterior and 483 interior fixtures; Tranquility Elementary--22 exterior and 426 interior fixtures; Tranquility High School-180 exterior and 1,304 interior fixtures; Helm Elementary-1 exterior and 106 interior fixtures. At the six facilities the exterior lumens would either be similar or reduced and would not significantly change the existing light conditions. Upgrades to interior lights would not change outside light conditions. Beneficiaries of the project include the District with reduced energy costs, and school staff and students because of the campus upgrades would improve the learning environment and nighttime safety.
