Document Description
Embankment erosions in Reach 2B will be collapsed, filled, and sequentially compacted until all the available eroded material onsite has been used. If additional fill is needed, material will be transported from existing San Luis Field Division stockpiles. After the erosions are completely filled, they will be compacted. The embankments will be recontoured to the original slope. This work will be completed annually. State Water Project users will benefit.

Erosions will be repaired throughout Reach 2B of the California Aqueduct (Aqueduct). The northernmost location is at milepost (MP) 46.20, about 3.10 miles west of the community of Crows Landing; the southernmost location is at MP 70.82, which is at O'Neill Forebay.

The project will repair erosions along both sides of the existing Aqueduct embankment in Reach 2B, as needed. Repairs are necessary to protect the integrity of the Aqueduct and will not increase the capacity or use of it. Categorical Exemption 15301 (Existing Facilities) applies.
