Document Description
This project consists of a new firepit; creating decomposed granite pathways; installing small solar lights on walkways; replacing a wood patio with concrete; planting native plants; installing a gazebo and arbor; and implementing a bioswale. This project will serve to reconcile an existing fire hazard, improve the site’s stormwater management, improve water quality and groundwater supply through water infiltration methods, attract California native pollinators, and use vegetation to help offset the heat-producing effects of the nearby parking lot and basketball court. The staging area for the project will be located at the corps-member parking lot (directly north of the firepit area).
