Notice of Exemption

Exempt Status
Categorical Exemption
Type, Section or Code
Section 15304(e) - Class 4
Reasons for Exemption
Section 15304(e) exempts minor temporary use(s) of land having negligible or no permanent effects on the environment, including but not limited to activities such as carnivals, sales of Christmas trees, pumpkins, and street fairs. The reduction of traffic on Third Street to only one lane, to allow business to expand into the road, and the expansion of business into private parking lots, does not involve the placement of any permanent structures, removal of materials, or installation of permanent facilities. The roadway and parking areas are existing areas, and alternative uses of these areas would not present any potential environmental impacts.
