- Document Description
- The new TK-5 elementary school on Nason Street would be about 0.5 mile southeast of the existing TK-5 Moreno Elementary School on Cottonwood Avenue. The 483 students at the existing elementary school would transfer to the new elementary school. The new 8.97-acre elementary school would accommodate existing and future long-term planned residential development in Moreno Valley, with space for up to 950 students. The campus would have a 77,000-square-foot, 2-story building; hardscape (walkways and hardcourts); parking lots; playgrounds; and turf playfields. The campus would have: 38 classrooms and support spaces in permanent building, 5 portable classrooms for future expansion, multipurpose / gymnasium, food services, administration, library, 2 basketball courts, overlapping 2 baseball fields / 2 soccer fields, hardcourt play areas, kindergarten playground, lunch shelter, landscape, hardscape, and fencing. Bus drop-off and pick-up would be off Nason Street on the north side of the school. Parking consists of about 50-space staff parking lot (north campus) and 40-space visitor parking lot in front of the school (west campus). The project also includes the relocation of other District facilities (staff only).
