Document Description
The project will remove the abandoned Bella Vista Water District siphon structure in North Cow Creek, which acts as a barrier to migrating aquatic species including Chinook salmon and steelhead. The concrete structure will be removed and disposed of off-site and the stream bed will be re-contoured to allow immediate fish passage for all life-stages of fish upon completion of the project. The project will be implemented during the late summer when flows are lowest and all stream flow will be piped around the project area to conduct in-stream work. The purpose is to benefit fisheries habitat in North Cow Creek.
