Document Description
The Proposed Project is the rehabilitation of a portion of the wastewater collection system under the authority of County Service Area (CSA) 82, Stirling City Sewer System. Replacement and repair of portions of the system has been completed in the past, but further rehabilitation is needed. Approximately 2,700 linear feet of the original 5,500-foot clay pipe wastewater collection system needs replacement. The Project will also include the replacement of 12 existing manholes with nine standard 48-inch manholes and the installation of 83 new laterals (approximately ten linear feet each, up to the new sewer cleanouts). Known deficiencies determined by the County include aging pipe, lack of standard manholes for proper system maintenance, possible root intrusion and infiltration and inflow due to disjointed piping. All construction will occur within the existing pipeline right-of-way under unpaved alleys and roads throughout the small community.
