Reasons for Exemption
Westlands Water District has determined that this project is categorically exempt pursuant to Section 15061 ("Review for Exemption"), of the California Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA") Guidelines (14 California Code of Regulations§ 15000, et seq.). In accordance with guidelines section 15061(b)(3), Westlands Water District determined that this project will have no significant effect on the environment, in accordance with guidelines section 15301(b), this project involves negligible expansion of an existing investor-owned utility facility used to provide electric power. In accordance with guidelines section 15304(f), the project includes minor trenching and backfilling where the surface is restored.
