Reasons for Exemption
The project will address a physical and thermal barrier for juvenile coho on Parks Creek by moving an existing point of diversion from its current location on Parks Creek to the Shasta River and re-plumb ranch irrigation infrastructure from the new point of diversion with an on-channel fish screen. The project consists of minor alterations in the condition of land or water and does not exceed five acres in size to assure the maintenance, restoration, enhancement, and protection of habitat for fish and wildlife.
