The conservation easement will protect working lands that also support critical habitat for millions of spring migrating waterfowl and permanently protect 2,626 acres of wet mountain meadows. By protecting the Kramer Ranch in the region's predominantly agricultural and rural economy, the multi-generational ranching family will remain on the land, support the community and protect the Pit River watershed by continuing their land management practices.
