The project will transfer deed ownership of the 3,803 ac. Hanning Flat property to a local non-profit who will continue to manage the property as a working ranch. This property will connect over 10,000 ac. of public and privately conserved lands for wildlife corridors, habitat for a variety of plant and animal species, and serve as a strategic location for fire management in a high fire hazard landscape. It will maintain land-based economic benefits, protect a high-profile scenic property, and provide for public access.
