Document Description
The Tupper Hall Rooms 3225, 3227, 3128 & 3130 Lab Renovation project will renovate approximately 1,250 square feet of outmoded lab space on the third floor of the facility. The project will demolish and reconfigure four smaller wet laboratories, into two larger wet labs. The existing lab benches, finishes and equipment will be removed and replaced, and a new fume hood and specific laboratory utility system will be installed. Hazardous materials, including lead and asbestos, are known to exist in Tupper Hall. All demolition of existing finish materials will be completed under hazardous materials management regulations and requirements contained in the mitigation measures adopted for the UC Davis 2018 Long Range Development Plan.

This exemption applies to the operation, repair, maintenance or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities or mechanical equipment, involving negligible or no expansion of the existing use. In addition, none of the exceptions for application of a categorical exemption apply to this project.
