Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-201 9-0266-R3, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Marin Country Club. The project is limited to the stabilization of an existing cart bridge where storm erosion exposed the shallow bridge footings. The bridge stabilization will involve the installation of two reinforced concrete piers, each three feet by three feet and five feet deep, with connectors adjoined to the bridge to support the existing structure. The piers will be hand-dug. Concrete for the piers will be poured in the summer when water is not present, and extra precautions will be taken to ensure no water will touch the concrete during curing including temporary plastic sheeting around the piers. Impacts are limited to the footprint of the two bridge piers, in an area were riprap is already present, so no impacts will occur to riparian habitat.
