Document Description
The Proposed Program involves conversion of the City's existing Historic Preservation Program to a voluntary, incentive-based program that complies with the mandates of the State law. It eliminates references to the outdated December 1982 historic sites inventory and the September 1983 South Laguna Specific Plan, and requires amendments to the Municipal Code, including revisions to the existing Historic Preservation Chapter contained within Zoning Code Chapter 25.45, various other sections of the Municipal Code, and the City's Residential Design Guidelines formally titled as "Design Guidelines -A Guide to Residential Development." Additionally, the Proposed Program requires General Plan Amendments, including revisions to the Historic Resources Element and the Land Use Element.
