Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes to replace the existing northbound and southbound San Jose Creek bridges (Bridge Number 51-0163 R/L), to address the presence of reactive aggregates in the existing structure. The new bridge design would be a single-span structure and will be located at existing location. During construction, the following would occur: existing bridge structure would be removed and a new bridge will be constructed; the existing slope pavement would be removed and rock slope protection would be installed; existing barriers and rails would be upgraded; vegetation removal and replanting would be conducted; and temporary traffic control would be required.
