Document Description
Approval of Permit No. 19540, under California Code of Regulations, Title 23, Article 3, Section 6, for work within an adopted plan of flood control: To construct a new 1,365 feet long and 43 feet 6 inches wide concrete cast-in-place, pre-stressed box girder bridge structure (Bridge Number 16-0058L) supported on Cast-in-Drilled-Hole (CIDH) piles, west of and parallel to the existing South, Middle, and North Honcut Creek Bridges (Bridge Numbers 16-0020, 12-0059, 12-0060, respectively). The existing Honcut Creek bridges will not be demolished. The project will also involve replacing the existing 8 feet x 7 feet box culvert located under State Route SR 70 on the south side of the levee maintained by Reclamation District 10 with a 12 feet x 12 feet box culvert with a concrete bottom and a gate on the west end of the existing box culvert to prevent unauthorized access through the culvert crossing. Additionally, Caltrans will construct two new ramps for controlled access to the top of the levee from both the west and east sides of the new box culvert under State Route 70. The construction of the new bridge will require a temporary falsework structure within the Honcut Creek.
