Document Description
The purpose of the Project is to construct a soldier pile and ground anchor (SPGA) retaining wall on the southern perimeter of the road prism to arrest the continuing downslope movement that is endangering the roadway. This Project location was identified in the Disaster Event CA 17-2 following a period of heavy rainfall beginning on January 7, 2017. The Project is needed for permanent roadway stabilization, and to construct drainage improvements to stabilize an ongoing and active slide of fill material that supports the roadway. The Project is an emergency repair to a publicly owned roadway necessary to maintain service essential to the public health, safety and welfare. The emergency repairs require a reasonable amount of planning to address an anticipated emergency.
