Document Description
The purpose of this project is to install ramp meters at connector ramps on 5/99 separation and 51/160 separation in Sacramento County. To alleviate traffic congestion and vehicle delays on Routes 5, 51 and 99 in Sacramento County. The capacity of the freeway system has been unable to keep up with increasing traffic due to population growth in the greater Sacramento area. Traffic congestion and vehicle delays have steadily increased. Installing connector ramp metering will help to alleviate this problem,
