Document Description
The project is limited to the installation of a new concrete culvert, with the dimensions of 19 feet tall, by 24 feet wide, by 350 feet long, as a means of stabilizing an active landslide located on Via Verdi adjacent to San Pablo Creek. The creek channel and existing road infrastructure will be excavated to accomplish this. The new culvert will connect to an existing 400-foot culvert located southwest of the project area. The total 750-foot reach of new and existing culvert will have a roughened channel engineered stream bottom installed. The original 2017 road alignment for Via Verdi will be repaved upon installation of the culvert, backfilling, and regrading of the project area. Excavated and disturbed areas susceptible to erosion will be stabilized with rock slope protection, live willow staking, brush mattress installation, natural fiber blanket overlay, container planting, and hydroseed application.
