The City is proposing to amend the Long Beach Municipal Code (LBMC) by adopting the triennial 2019 California Building Standards Code (Code) and incorporating minor editorial revisions to LBMC Title 21, Zoning. The triennial 2019 Code update establishes uniform standards for the construction and maintenance of buildings, electrical systems, plumbing systems, mechanical systems, and fire and life safety systems. Adopting the Code update and editorial revisions to LBMC Title 21,
Zoning, would provide enhanced clarity and consistency in application to future development in Long Beach.
