Document Description
This proposed project involves installation of approximately 1 mile of a new subsurface 24-inch water pipeline along Amethyst Road. Project Activities include grubbing and grading of the work area, vegetation removal, digging a trench between 5 to 10 feet wide by 5 feet deep to accommodate a new pipeline installation within a 100-ft wide work area approximately 12.79 acres, excavation, stockpiling and backfilling, and other activities. The Project will result in incidental take of 39 western Joshua tree (Yucca brevifolia). which is protected under the WJTCA and the California Endangered Species Act. The WJTCA ITP referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of western Joshua tree that may occur as a result of Project implementation.
