Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2019-01 20-R2, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Sacramento Municipal Utility District (Permittee) as represented by Tim Talbert.
The project is limited to the construction of a 20-foot wide concrete boat launch within the Slab Creek Reservoir and the construction of a concrete box culvert within the channel of an unnamed ephemeral stream.
The boat launch will be constructed at the downstream limit of work to provide a stable surface for launching administrative boats. The boat launch will be designed to allow SMUD to launch boats when the water elevation within the reservoir is at a maximum elevation of 1848 and a minimum elevation of 1838. Design will follow criteria established by the Layout, Design and Construction Handbook for Small Craft Boat Launching Facilities, March 1991, State of California, Department of Boating and Waterways. The boat launch will be constructed of precast and pour-in-place concrete and will utilize approximately 160 cubic yards of concrete. Approximately 127 cubic yards of rip-rap will be placed around the perimeter of the boat launch.
