Document Description
Berrenda Mesa Water District proposes to construct and install a fenced and gated 8-megawatt (MW) solar photovoltaic (PV) energy generation facility, interconnection to Pump Station A, and installation of electrical connection equipment at Pump Station A. The solar array is proposed to generate approximately 1,300 MWh per year. BMWD would acquire easements for the interconnection route and access to public roads and to Station A for project purposes over land burdened by existing BMWD easements for water pipeline and access purposes primarily. A new access route would extend approximately 1,600 feet south of the array and then east approximately 2,670 feet across the north side of APN 057-070-43 and a small portion of the northeast corner of APN 057-070-42 to connect to existing farm roads and then to SR 33. The project site is an approximately 60-acre parcel owned by BMWD (currently APN 057-070-25-00-8) near the Keck's Corner area in northwestern unincorporated Kern County, California. See NOC for full details.
