- Request by Pacific Gas and Electric for a Development Plan/ Coastal Development Permit (DRC2018-00003) to allow for the North Ranch Road Improvement Project, affecting approximately 4.25 miles of the North Ranch Road, a privately owned continuation of Pecha Valley Road, located on the North Ranch portion of the Diablo Canyon Power Plant (DCPP). The improvements include: turnouts, paving in areas greater than 12-percent, retaining walls, three stockpile locations, three new culverts, and nine replacement culverts. The project would result in a total disturbance of 14.7 acres along North Ranch Road. The project is within the Agriculture and Rural Lands land use categories and is located between the southern parking lot of Montana de Oro State Park and just north of DCPP, approximately five miles southwest of the community of Los Osos, in the San Luis Bay Coastal Planning Area.
