Document Description
The County proposes to amend the zoning of a 0.96 acre parcel from U (Unclassified) to C2 (General Commercial) to allow for the development of an emergency homeless shelter. The subject parcel is currently developed with a soon to be demolished single family residence and the West Po int Community Garden. The emergency shelter will consist of up to six 200 square foot single units for residents of Calaveras County who lack stable housing. Re-zoning the subject parcel from U to C2 will allow for the emergency shelter as a permitted use .
