The project has been determined to be categorically exempt from environmental
review under CEQA Guidelines Section 15301 Existing Facilities (Class 1 ), which exempts minor alterations of existing facilities involving negligible or no expansion of use. The project would renovate the interior of an existing building and no expansion of the building is proposed, and therefore it can be seen with certainty that there is no significant effect on the environment. None of the exceptions to the use of categorical exemptions identified under CEQA Guidelines Section 15300.2 would apply.
