Document Description
Revision of Approved Action for a previously approved Agricultural Excavation application. The original approval was to remove 97,000 cubic-yards of material over 2 years from an approximately 158 acre project site in the AG-80 (General Agriculture, 80-acre minimum) zone. This request is to amend Condition of Approval 1.b. to add 3 years to the life of the permit, to expire on October 25, 2024. No changes in footprint or tonnage are proposed with this application. All other Conditions of Approval will remain in force. The maximum depth of excavation is 5 feet, and the intent is to remove sandy soil to increase agricultural viability. These parcels are under a Williamson Act Contract.

Section 15061(b)(3) states that “CEQA applies only to projects which have the potential for causing a significant effect on the environment. Where it can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility that the activity in question may have a significant effect on the environment, the activity is not subject to CEQA.” There is no possibility that this project may have a significant effect on the environment and, therefore, the project is not subject to CEQA.
