Southern California Edison (SCE) is planning demolition, renovation, and new construction of buildings/facilities at its Lee Vining Substation. SCE has applied for a highway encroachment permit to construct a temporary driveway to provide additional access for required construction equipment and materials.

Reasons for Exemption
After a review of the proposed temporary driveway it was determined that no environmental resources will be impacted by the project. The existing highway will remain fully functional while the temporary driveway is in use. The driveway will be removed after the Lee Vining Substation project is complete.
