- Document Description
- The Project will repair 29 levee locations. The general construction approach for all 29 sites consists of clearing and grubbing for site preparation. Following site preparation, existing rock and levee soils disturbed during failure will be excavated and the levee slope graded to design specifications. Geotextile fabric will be placed over excavated areas and covered with rock slope protection. Clean rock will be placed into the water at the toe of the bank up to the water surface elevation at the time of construction. Once bank construction is completed, all disturbed soil on repair site remaining will be hydro-seeded with native seed mix.
