Document Description
The Deer Creek Irrigation District (DCID) and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) have proposed a fish passage improvement project on Deer Creek at DCID's diversion dam. The objective of the project is to improve upstream and downstream passage at the diversion dam for adult and juvenile salmonids and Pacific lamprey while meeting DCID's irrigation needs. The proposed project involves constructing a roughened channel downstream of the existing dam, lowering approximately 1,250 feet of the existing diversion ditch, and replacing the off-channel fish screen and juvenile return at a lower elevation.
