Document Description
The new Oregon Hill Road Bridge is.known with the Forest Service as the Little Oregon Creek AOP Project, AOP stands for Aquatic Organism Passage. Currently, during low water flows, there is a vertical distance between the outlet of the culvert and the natural height of the creek. This does not allow certain organisms to continue upstream. The proposed bridge has,a.46-foot clear span and would re~n the creek to its natural flow and course, thus allowing organisms to continue upstream.

Reasons for Exemption
The project is exempt pursuant to Sections 15333 (Small Habitat Restoration Projects) of the California Environmental Quality Act. The project is an Aquatic Organism Passage project that is under 5-acres in size and intended to restore aquatic habitat by removing three culverts and replacing them with a bridge that will provide easier aquatic passage. The project will not have a significant adverse impact to any special status species as it is intended to improve habitat, no hazardous material will be around the project (staging area is 0.5 miles away) and the project will not have any significant impacts when viewed in context of any larger projects in the area.
