Mariposa County Department of Public Works proposes to replace the existing bridge on Buckeye Road over Mariposa Creek (Bridge No. 40C-0036) located approx 4 miles south of the Town of Mariposa in southwest Mariposa County within the Sierra Nevada Foothills. The general setting is rural and forested woodlands. The bridge carries vehicular traffic over the Mariposa Creek. The replacement bridge will have a clear width of 24 ft to accommodate two 10-ft lanes and two 2-ft shoulders and a design speed of 40 mph.
