Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes a safety project along State Route (SR) 20 in Lake County near Upper Lake between Post Mile (PM) 5.1 to PM 5.8. The project proposes to construct 8-foot shoulders in both directions, increase the existing curve radius, and add eastbound left turn and westbound right turn lanes for Witter Springs Road. Increasing the curve radius and widening the roadway would require 1 :1 or flatter cut slopes on the north side of the road and a 2:1 or flatter embankment on the south side of the road.
