Document Description
Request to modify the heifer units approved under UP PLN2014-0028 - Machado (Couco Creek) Dairy from 250 medium heifers and 250 small heifers to 750 large heifers, 1,000 medium heifers, and 500 small heifers. Cow numbers are to remain at 3,050 milk cows and 437 dry cows. This project includes construction of three freestall shade barns, totaling 176,550 sq. ft., over existing corrals located due south of the southwest corner of W Harding and S Washington Roads. The estimated wastewater storage needs will be accommodated by the existing capacity of the on-site lagoons.
