Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2019-0064-R1, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Shasta County Department of Public Works. The project includes full replacement of the existing bridge over the Pit River on Cassel-Fall River Road with a new 300-foot long and 32. 7-foot wide 3 span bridge. The structure will use driven steel H-piles on the western abutment above water level and cast-in drilled hole piles socketed into underlying bedrock within the active channel for two mid-channel piers, as well as for the eastern abutment. Work will include dewatering around each bent before pouring concrete and the construction of a temporary gravel work trestle.
