The 2019 General Plan Update modifies the existing General Plan to: include current State General Plan requirements and changes to state and local regulations; streamline future General Plan updates and environmental documentation by reorganizing the General Plan into four volumes; and revise the General Plan by replacing completed or no longer relevant implementation measures with current measures, correcting redundancy in the Plan, updating the growth and buildout projections, modifying land use designations with minor updates, adding greenhouse gas emissions policies, updating the land use diagram and zoning map to reflect GIS parcel based mapping data, and revising policies to ensure growth does not create impacts. The ISND analyzes the General Plan update and land use diagram and zoning map changes.
