Document Description
The City of Inglewood is proposing Transit Oriented Development plans for approximately 653 acres generally encompassing a 1/2 mile radius of existing developed areas around the Westchester/Veterans and Crenshaw metro rail stations in the City of Inglewood. The TOD Plans cumulatively provide for a net increase of 4,090 dwelling units and 705,976 s.f. of commercial uses. The Plans include land use and development regulations, as well as design guidelines providing for intensification of development within walking distance of major transit stops, along with plans for public improvements. The TOD Plans define and implement the City's vision to increase housing, employment, and commercial opportunities; enhance economic vitality; and protect existing neighborhoods. Adoption of the TOD Plans requires a General Plan Amendment to designate the two TOD Plans on the land use map, along with amendments to the City's zoning code to modify zoning districts and development regulations to reflect the provisions of the TOD Plans. The documents submitted are Appendices to the DEIR.
