CAL FIRE would provide funding to help implement fuel reduction activities through the removal of brush and small trees, reducing understory fuels to reduce the vertical continuity of the forest stand structure. Restoration activities would occur in phases over time. Treatment methods include hand cut and pile burning, hand cut and hand chip, and mechanical treatment using a masticator.
