Document Description
Note: Review Per Lead The Final Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration (IS/MND) of the Project was adopted in 2017 by California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC). This Supplemental IS/MND analyzes proposed changes to the Project since the CPUC adopted the Final IS/MND in 2017. Following the CPUC's approval of the Project, PG&E identified corrosion on the cross-arms of tubular steel poles (TSPs) in the Southern Segment of the Project that could potentially cause cross-arm failure during reconductoring activities. To address the risk of cross-arm failure, PG&E proposes to replace 21 existing TSPs in the Southern Segment of the Project that support the Fulton-Hopland 60-kilovolt (kV) Power Line, Geysers #12-Fulton 230-kV Transmission Line, and Geysers #17-Fulton 230-kV Transmission Line, rather than reconductoring on the existing TSPs as stated in the 2017 Final IS/MND.
