Document Description
The project would raise the existing levee crest elevation and construct a new concrete floodwall along Lower Silver, Flint, and Ruby Creeks within Lake Cunningham Park. The proposed Project would ensure flood detention capability of Lake Cunningham Park, reduce flow hazards to urbanized areas along Lower Silver Creek downstream of Lake Cunningham Park, and provide the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) required 3 feet of freeboard. In addition, the District proposes to regrade small portions of the existing trail adjacent to the lake, replace perimeter fencing, relocate an existing trash compactor and green waste collection area, and construct a new park entrance as well as pedestrian path.
