Document Description
The City of Elk Grove is conducting a comprehensive update of its General Plan to ensure that the guiding policy document remains a useful tool, keeps pace with change, and provides workable solutions to current and future issues. The General Plan Update Project includes the following related components: (1) General Plan Update; (2) Climate Action Plan Update; (3) Specific Plan Amendments; (4) Zoning Code Amendments; and, (5) Parks and Recreation Master Plan Update. The General Plan will include the following State-required elements or topics: Land Use, Circulation, Housing, Conservation, Open Space, Noise, and Safety. The updated Elk Grove General Plan will be divided into 10 chapters, which together address the topics mandated by the State, as well as additional topics of interest to the City.
